p.s. two corrections: 1.) 40 hours a *WEEK*, not 40 hours a day; 2.) when I say "silence yourself", what I mean is that you want to try to put yourself in a really calm quiet place so that you can hear what your own inner thoughts are telling you to do (sometimes if we don't hear ourselves, we're much more likely to be swayed by other people's opinions on what we should do).

I feel like more people are becoming successful at a younger age and this is putting pressure on people to become successful before 25 or 30, it just overwhelms a lot of people causing depression.

I am 23 years old and a year out of college. I started working the day after I graduated with my bachelor's degree. I work an 8-5 job for a tech company and every single day I wake up and think "is this really for me?" I am actually watching this video at work. I really appreciate this and it has given me a new outlook to consider. It is good to know that my constant feeling of restlessness and instability is a normal thing.

I just turned 30 a few weeks ago and what would say is don't worry about it so much, you are going to make mistakes, it's a fact. Mistakes are a feature, not a bug. I had a hard time in my twenties mostly due to unemployment and mental health issues (bipolar, depression, anxiety, aspergers). Just enjoy your twenties, have fun with it, make friends, visit cool place, build a career, change careers, move to another country, be in a relationship, just make the most out of life.

We don't need more doctors, engineers, lawyers, politicians, etc... we need more people who are unabashedly passionate about what they're doing!

I'm 47, feeling lost in your 20's and 30's is not a recent phenomenon. I experienced feeling lost back in the 90s pre social media. Your life experience will lead you to your path, tweaking things as you go. You do have to throw yourself into things - don't be passive and expect things to just happen. Youth is wasted on the young!

As a 20 year old college student, I feel lost pretty much all the time. Watching your videos makes me feel like I have an older and wiser friend 🖤

“It’s not a YOU problem, it could be a societal problem” ... but even still, how do you reconcile the fact that you still need to functionally operate within that society? I agree with all the points you bring up, but on some level you have to get everyone else to buy into how you think... Employers need to be okay with letting people have different work schedules to maximize their productivity, and right now that’s not a reality in the majority of workplaces. I think it’s moving in that direction, but in the current state of society, this mindset doesn’t offer any concrete solutions

I turn 29 in a few months and it feels like I have no sense of direction in my.life. No idea what I want to do. I struggle with anxiety and depression.

Learn to work with your hands, children, Drop your ego, stop trying to get the job that gives you bragging rights. Learn a trade, work with your hands, roll up your sleeves and break a sweat. Your body will thank you, your soul will thank you, and this dilemma of feeling lost will cease to exist- because you will find yourself. You will drop your guard, your pride, and you will find yourself once again in the beauty of hard work and a more grounded lifestyle.

Gosh your videos are really speaking to my soul right now! I'm only 21 but I'm full on lost. Especially the part where you spoke about questioning the world. Every time I run into something that doesn't sit right with me I think "how can I change to fit into that?" and "what's wrong with me?". Maybe there isn't anything wrong with me. maybe society is trying to impose something that just isn't me. Thank you for this!! This is the content I hope to make too!

*this video is so timely for all us 20-30s year olds. I'm 21, but I think the restless thing is not fully a bad thing. I'm not sure if I'm doing the wrong or right thing but I do fully feel like I'm enjoying my life. That anxiety of having the "anxiety of choice" is so true! being young means there's so many ways I could wreck my life, but alas, one choice is not enough to derail a life anyways.* 😂
