Lady with an Ermine Leonardo da Vinci

The painting "Lady with an Ermine" by Leonardo da Vinci was completed between 1489 and 1490. This stunning work of art measures in at 40.3, by 54.8 centimetres and was painted in oil on a walnut board. The original context was probably painted over sometime in the 17th century. The woman seen in the painting is known to be Cecilia Gallerani. It is believed that Leonardo painted this picture of her while he was employed by Lodovico Sforza, Duke of Milan, when she was the duke's mistress. #shorts #painting
