This won’t lead to a lawsuit because Epic is within their right to “copy” Among us since there is no patent on their game mechanics. But the way they went about this seems disrespectful.

I mean, this is essentially what video games do. The different video games will gather ideas from other in similar games such as battle royale type games

There wouldn't be a problem with this but that fact that Epic is *actively* ignoring their collab requests makes this unacceptable. A spin off from a fan into a main game is not bad whatsoever, that's the whole point of the creative mode and creating maps in fortnite- but it's the fact that epic wants this to be mainstreamed on their game without officially representing the actual game.

Honestly, I can understand the devs of among us calling out epic, but I also don’t want the game mode to be removed, because it is such free exp

I think the LTM had to be released due to the fact that the gamemode is part of the Fortnite Storyline. Agent Jones breaks into the Imagined Order Headquarters to sabotage them to total collapse but Dr Slone recruited some Agents of IO to find John Jones and eliminate him once and for all.
So, I conclude

Epic was literally in court with Apple saying that the little companies are always pushed around by these billion dollar companies and now they’re doing the same thing they should have rather worked with InnerSloth to make this instead of making a blatant copy knowing they won’t get sued cause they didn’t copyright most of their game

I honestly think that epic games should have not have made this gamemode without at least getting permission from the among us developers considering it's the exact same thing as among us just in fortnite. The among us developers deserve a shoutout or something at least considering they didn't even tell the developers of among us about it. Bad move fortnite.
