I love to see a master showing off their craft. In the music realm there are not many lead singers who also play Bass. It's a skill set that's very tricky to pull off.

Been a fan since the early 1970's. I love reading comments from these young people who are so amazed at the bands of the 1970's. They are so surprised at how the musicians could actually play several instruments and also sing while playing those instruments. It's funny they think that's so amazing. But we were use to our multi talented musicians back then. And we had so many great musicians. We were so lucky to have been around in that generation to enjoy what I refer to as the greatest musical decade. Pilot had some of the best multi talented musicians. Magic will always be a favorite song of mine.

This is absolutely brilliant to see, I am a big fan of pilot and have recorded a cover of this bass track recently and watching this performance is going to help me learn how to perform it better, you are a true inspiration and thank you for taking the time out of your day to do this 👍

I played this song over and over again as a kid in the 70s and I still love it together with January on the EMI label. One of the best pop songs ever written with January, great bass lines and lead guitar riffs. The keyboard player played the flute on January and gives a great addition to the sound. Very talented man is David.

It's always been my most favourite tune! The tune and its words do something in my heart and I've watched other bass guitarists show how the line should be played and I've always thought in the back of my mind how wonderful it would be to hear you producing a video such as this. It's a dream come true for me to find this here, thank you so much. I giggled at the end when the door opened. Im glad that you kept that bit in too! Take care and keep spreading kindness and music! 🎸🎶🪄💟
