Hi guys! In this video I installed a DPS, Digital Phase Shifter on a Do-It-Yourself demo board that I made, and tested it with a Hioki CM3286-01 AC Clamp Power Meter. The DPS is a single-phase to three-phase converter. It allows you to run a 3-phase motor out of the available single-phase power supply. The DPS unit model is an MY-PS-2, rated for 1Hp, 220V 3-phase, which is a match for my 1Hp, 3-phase Meiji induction motor. The objective of installing the DPS on a demo board was for me to have 3-phase voltage available for testing purposes, not necessarily for motor control. The DPS did output 3-phase voltage, but it has certain limitations which I discussed in the video. I provided timestamps for easy navigation to topics/chapters. The DPS device is made in Korea.
