How to S Rank Djimmi the Great | Cuphead

Trying to S Rank Djimmi the Great in Cuphead? He's a real pain in the behind if you don't know what you're doing.

To be honest, Djimmi isn't one of my favourites. I like the fact that he's a genie and he has that whole egyptian aesthetic, which is nice, but there are way better bosses in Cuphead. A big part of why he's so frustrating isn't he isn't that hard, but he has SO many phases! It's an endurance slog not unlike King Dice. And that stupid stupid Cuppet phase.

I'm on a journey to show you how to (hopefully) S Rank every boss in Cuphead. Let me know in the comments who I should do next!

I've formulated a strategy for the last phase. If you get enough time and foresee the eye opening, go small, and into the top left corner, keep both buttons pressed and it won't hit you.

If you struggling with getting damage in and getting a time that s like 10 or 15 seconds longer then heres some tips:
Never seek to use bombs outside of phase 3 or phase 2 because the Machine gun has higher DPS.
In the first and fourth phase, hit as many parries as possible to get as many Supers as possible.
For Damage, Consider coffee for more supers, Or if your confident in yours abilities use whetstone for the 4th and 5th phases, For phase 4 you'll have some small opportunities to get the cuppet with whetstone, for phase 5, you can really destroy him with whetstone by going to the bottom of the screen and as close to Djimmi as possible, if you're also machine gunning at the same time, he'll likely die before he can shoot a head beam. Or just use devine relic.

Djimmi and beppi the clown last phase are stressful for beginner but eventually u will get how they attack

One strategy I used was in the cuppet phase I'd use my ex super and go around the cuppet to the turban goes behind the cuppet and I wouldn't have to worry about the turban cause it would take like 2-3 moves to keep up after that

I remember once trying to A+ dis boi, not even S rank. And it still took me like half a day. I didn't complete world 2 while I was trying to A+ him, so I was a bit no-skill.

I'm think the reason why this fight takes a long time to finish is because of the totem part. While the amount of totems isn't particularly that much (so it shouldn't be that difficult to get past it as long as you avoid the saw blades), there isn't a way to control the auto-scroll speed to make this part go by faster.

That's just my theory.

for the 2nd phase I always just stay tiny and have the bomb equipped so when I get to a face I have to destroy, I quickly become large, shoot, and become small again

Nice job! Absolutely love this game! Just trying to get S ranks while waiting for DLC to drop. I found using the bombs on the pillars with the faces is really helpful-you don’t have to aim and you’ll just blast them away. Thanks for the video!

Yes! I beat him with an S! I think the problem was that I was using the twin heart charm, which reduces damage.
But when I tried him with Smoke Bomb, obviously the damage wasn't reduced and I beat the timer with 02:02!
I've officially S ranked all PLANE levels.
Oh wait. There still ONE plane level I need to do with an S. Oh no. SAVE ME!

Honestly i didn't watch this to s rank, I just needed tips because Djimmi on expert is the only thing between me and 300% c uphead, I even beet kahl in 5 minutes, but I have used over an half hour on Djimmi
