My father once took a personality test and he tried to fill it in as good as possible. After the test he was told he filled it in so perfectly he must have had the answers, so he didn’t get a promotion.

I remember applying for Bed Bath and Beyond and they made me take a personality test. There was a question, "we know everybody steal from their employer, how much did you steal from your last employer?" And then the choices were price ranges and one answer choice was, "I have never stolen"
As I had never stolen, I answered that. They said I failed it because of that. The hiring manager says they don't believe that anyone has never stolen.

In my experience, any place that makes you take a personality test really screws you over and destroys what mental health you have. Mostly its retail jobs.

"People are sometimes dishonest" is an objective fact. Some people provably lie. That test is basically telling you to either "disagree" with reality or give an answer that the boss can interpret as you admitting to being a liar.
