Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat says transferring hundreds of inmates out of state will ease jail overcrowding and clear the way for much needed repairs and upgrades at the facility. But some county commissioners and public defenders oppose the plan. They went head to head with the sheriff during Wednesday's Fulton County Commission meeting.

Look it is high time for harsh punishments for violent offenders ( ie murder, homicide, rape, child molesters ) just put those out of their misery once convicted and save $$ and send a message.

How about put same type offenders together. I doubt petty criminals writing bad checks or someone being behind on child support are killing one another inside. As far as the murderers, rapists, child molesters, drug dealers, and organized criminals…who cares if they kill one another! It’s better than them being out here with the folks who do right every day and keep themselves out of trouble!

You can't just keep putting people in a building. There needs to be a community that is sectioned away by zoning. Criminals live in these areas away from.people.
