i can't believe the people who criticise Kamila Valieva's skating as repetitive or boring compared to other skaters. have you ever seen this before? - this girl is rewriting history. when it comes time for the championships and the olympics, there may be so many challengers to her from the other Russian female skaters skating quads and triple axels, that we may never see this quality of competition ever again.

As much as I’m impressed by the achievements of the Tutberidze training protocol and I think these girls are doing amazing things, I would like to see a different thing-a truly talented skater like Yuna, Carolina, Mao…, who can stay relevant for more than two seasons and become the Olympic champion even if they have turned to seniors two seasons prior to the Olympics. Yes, Kamila has these jumps but her technique is not good. She can’t do toe assisted jumps, sometimes she lands on the wrong edge, she changes the edge between combos. It’s all very worrying and painful to watch and we already know that next season she will struggle. Then Akatyeva will be a senior and many will be again amazed by the new prodigy. I want to see a skater who develops over time and doesn’t have their strongest abilities in their senior debut because of their youth. It’s boring in a way already.

While there are many things I do not really like about Kamila's skating, I actually agree with the PCS given the insanely difficult technical elements. I would agree with J4 only when there were no quads in the program. The same transitional content should be valued differently based on the technical pressure the skater faces. And for god's sake, she did three quads, with two of them in 4-3 combos, and one (combo) in the second half...

I would say that Spanish judges need to be checked/ reviewed because he went overboard with the GOE. plus 5 for 4S and 4T+3T? a plus 1 for a huge step out on that 3A?
