After watching half the videog, I realised that a learnt every possible detail that I needed and wanted more, and by the end of it I was totally informed about the thing that I wanted to know about. Tom, you're a lifesaver. Thank you from an old lady who was so muddled with this remote that while trying to navigate it I found I could still use my original remote for certain functions. So now I use both but you have at least cleared up some of the problems. Samsung my advice to you is "if it ain't broke don't fix it!!!"

The guide info button was the most valuable thing for me from this video! I’ve had my television for almost two years and never knew this which was frustrating! Funny thing is I knew about pressing the volume for muting, but never thought of pressing the channel button for guide 🤦🏽‍♂️

I am awfully good with technology, even the newest stuff, so I figured out how to use this tiny unfamiliar remote EXCEPT FOR THE VOLUME. I actually reprogrammed my cable box remote to operate this tv entirely because I couldn't figure out the volume controls. Mute was easy but turning volume up or down seemed IMPOSSIBLE with the included remote. Odds are I would never have figured it out, so thank you A MILLION TIMES over for showing how the volume works!! ❤❤❤🎉

Appreciate the video, I am no spring chicken, first use of the remote I thought WTF, after using it a few days I really like it, just could not figure how to get the guide up, had it by accident at one point, could not figure out what I did, but I still like it a lot, and now got that sorted by watching your video I am a happy chappy.

Yesterday I bought a Samsung TV and when I saw the remote, I became immediately confused that I didn't see any number buttons on the small remote.. I'm 70 years young and the remote is definitely not user friendly. Your video is very informative and I do wish I would have seen it before, I returned the TV to the store today. I'll go back to LG which is more user friendly.

Hi Tom Thank you, I have just bough a Samsung Qled TV yesterday with the a new style of remote, I was totally confused, but what I, m angry about is there is no user guide supplied so I have to spend valuable time searching on Youtube/computer, on how to operate the dam thing. Samsung if this is how you treat your customers, I will buy another brand next time.

Just bought the same remote ( universal) on amazon dirt cheap, batteries in . changed my life with the tv . runs my fire cube & stick tv just like your video says . Makes a 20 min cluster f**k . as simple as push back, home or guide . you opened up things to explore . I have added about 10 apps ( from the app store ) curser to bottom of your apps . and if you have a Brain F* rt .and lost . and Alexa voice will save you ( alexa go to settings :)

You showed how to pause a movie you're streaming and turn on subtitles, but what if you want to fast forward or rewind? The old remotes had buttons for that.

I freely admit that I am a senior non-techy person. This Samsung One remote (solar charged) is very hard for me to figure out. I am trying to schedule some programs to record. My manual says to push the 123 button (did that) and navigate to the "control pad." I am a literal person: among the 10-15 icons that appear at the bottom of the screen, there is NO "control pad." How do I get there? Where is it? What does it look like? (Videos are the most helpful instruction method for me) Do I need to connect an external device to store these recordings, or are they just kept somewhere I can access them (like the Cloud? Internal in my smart TV?)? HELP! And thank you.
