As a Sunderland fan, I can’t believe how many Arsenal fans turned against Wenger as time went on. The man was pure class and did a great job keeping them in the Champions League during the stadium move. The 03-04 season was the first season I properly paid attention to football and the invincibles helped me fall in love with football

Arsene was the reason I became an Arsenal fan. Not the invincibles, not the trophies (I came later), but Arsene. What class of a man. Any Arsenal fan that disrespects him is a a spoiled brat in my eyes.

Can we appreciate how professional Arsène is?
He rocked up wearing a full suit at a YouTube level interview

The fact that Ian Wright still calls Arsene Wenger 'Boss' shows how much influence he had during his time and how big of an impact he made. Respect from a Liverpool fan

His ability to recall every detail of games which took place 20+ years ago is outstanding. He truly lived and breathed what he did!

Wrighty still calling Arsene, 'boss', shows how much reverence he holds for him, absolutely wonderful to see and hear. Arsene deserves nothing less than the respect he garners. Truly an inspiring individual, that oozes class.

I am a United fan and I want to thank Arsenal and Wenger for the most memorable rivalry in the 90s. Out of the hatred back in those days, all I have now is respect for everybody, heck even Keown. Thank you Arsenal and Wenger for the memory.

Forget how it ended. The professional sacrifice that Arsene gave to enable the stadium move and see the club through the period of financial balance deserves a statue. What this man has done for English football will never be fully recognised

The Kante story is crazy! It just goes to show how difficult it can be to get signed and even world class players get overlooked. I think at some point, everyone needs to be in the right place at the right time.
