for the birds/ portals phase, a quick way to deal with them is to be in intersecting line of sights of opposite colors regardless if ur black or white. Example: if your debuff is making you stand in the line of sight of the red rear portal, stand in a side blue portal's line of sight.

The very first Words of Motion + portals can be "cheesed" by standing behind the portals facing the boss and move forward. Melee can also still attack at this position with max range.

If you're confused by portals, when they spawn look behind and stand on the matching back portal and the side portal 's lanes (e.g. standing on a square where if you look back AND side, you see the same color). When you adjust for the first wave, you can move diagonally to make sure you're still standing on the matched-colors square. After the birds are inside the portals, wait for the 1st wave to spew out before moving back/forward...

For umbral astral birds + portals... You'd want to stand on non-matching portals square. Like say, if you look back you see Red and if you look side you see Blue. When you're adjusting for the in-wave, you still adjust diagonally. But you DON'T adjust after that in-wave as your color is switched now.

Stacking doesn't have to be balanced; you can survive with just 2 people on the stack if they're not overlapping with the other stack and you're topped. Pick your stack of choice and stick with your buddy.

If you're one of the Legacy Control users, you can adjust your camera so if you're facing the same way the camera does, your destination portal will land where you want it to. Then just attack the boss till you have like 3 seconds, and press strafe right/left; it'll face you the same direction as the camera does and tadaa easier teleportation planning.

It took me a few attempts to realize how the colored portals worked. I didn't put 2 and 2 together at first lol.

I'm playing on controller and can't seem to understand what the game is basing my voidgate line on... It's not based on the direction I'm facing that's for sure... everytime these voidgates appear, I really can't even move because the purple line just start whipping all around me so I just have to stand in the middle and accept that I'm gonna be warped out to some random location.

out of all the casual contents in this game, this raid will fck me every time i get it in roulette
this is like harder for me to grasp than the current arcadion raidtier...

Isn't the umbral/astral light/darkness association wrong in this fight? The white one should have been umbral. (Desptie the name, since the people of the source were wrong when they associated astral with light; light is stagnant, which is umbral.)

Yo... Mizzteq why do the adds in normal have to separated? they don't tether each other in normal mode and so you are just losing out on cleaving damage. Some green leaf watched a guide for this in my mentor roulette and called me an idiot because the donuts are apparently harder to dodge when they are together. I normally like these guides for newer players but not when there is inaccurate information that people are religiously following.
