The way a restomod should be. Take the original and bring it up to snuff while keeping it´s "soul" intact. Engine, brakes, transmission, suspension all modernized to bring the oldy into the new age. It´s such a great sight and appreciated over all the horrid restomods you often get to see, where people butchered the car and created an abomination.

My dream was my 1989 DECH LX with the .351 Cleveland that I built. It towed my Jet-ski. 750 KAWI double carb stand up. Yup! I modified her too. I had Double Thumbs Up from the Caveman Crew turning left at any light. Wife Kids and Gone! I miss my gear. My wife asks me to bring the smell of (Summer) back when we were young but adores her AUDI.

for $140, 000 a person could build a lot of these. For $15, 000-$20, 000 you can find 1967-1969s all day, $6, 700 turn key pallet, and you can find rolling chassis of the 2011+ models for $3, 000-$10, 000. A person could save so much money building this their self, and having a body shop do the rest.
