Samsung Galaxy S8 in 2022 - Worth It?

The Galaxy S8 has shortcomings, which I’ll discuss in this review, but so long as Samsung can avoid any major recalls, it’s enough to put the company’s smartphones right back on the map.

The highlight feature of the Galaxy S8, at least the one most folks are going to notice first, is the sharp, rounded and colorful AMOLED display, which was recently rated the best on the market by display experts.

Samsung is selling two versions of the Galaxy S8. The only difference is standard model has a 5.8-inch display while the Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch screen. The new “Infinity” form factor, however, allows the 5.8-inch screen to fit on a device that’s much smaller and more pocketable than the iPhone 7 Plus, even though Apple’s device has a smaller 5.5-inch screen.

The Samsung Galaxy S series is a line of high-end Android smartphones produced by Samsung Electronics. Together with the foldable Galaxy Z series and the now discontinued Galaxy Note series, the lineup serves as Samsung's flagship smartphone model.

The series consisted initially of smartphones and the first device, the Samsung Galaxy S, was announced in March 2010 and released for sale in June of that year. Samsung later expanded the Galaxy S line to tablet computers with the announcement of the Galaxy Tab S in June 2014 and released the next month. As of 2022, the latest smartphones in the Galaxy S series are the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which were first released in February 2022. The Samsung Galaxy Tab series is the related tablet line, which includes the tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 released in February 2022.

Used it untill early 2021, believe me - ain't worth your money if you want a reliable "daily driver" phone but if you like collecting old smartphones it's one of the finest Samsung devices you can get. Still love to use it sometimes but I can't imagine having S8+ as my main phone these days with its poor battery life and the camera is kind of outdated too. The only thing that still holds up is the screen.

Le S8 était mon ancien téléphone, je l ai changé pour un S21 Ultra. Je ne regrette pas mon choix mais je pers la finesse du S8 qui était invroyable
