A track from the Sefiroth Ensemble EP release "Arboles lloran por luvia"

Sefiroth is an electro-acoustic chamber ensemble whose repertoire consists of contemporary interpretations of traditional Sephardic music, the roots of which date back to Early Medieval Spain, whilst drawing upon Arabic, Turkish, Greek and Eastern European influences.

The musicians in the ensemble are versed in a wide range of musical idioms; early and contemporary classical music, electronic, jazz, rock and improvised musics, whilst sharing a deep fascination for the world's traditional and ancient musical cultures.

Erotokritos (trad. Sephardic / Cretan). Thanks to Ross Daly for the original transcription, and to Savina Yannatou and Lena Sideri for the translation and setting of the text. Arranged by Nick Roth for Sefiroth Ensemble.
