Rebuilding the diffs in my old school Inferno sports MP7.5. Got some nice steel gears, as the originals in my car seem to be aluminum I guess, new gaskets and the spider gears too. Way back when, I thought I was all trick cuz I put in the 2nd set of spider gears, as mine only shows one set in the instructions. I really like your idea of the WD-40 and sandpaper to 'machine' the diff case. Water would probably work too. I like the 'dainty' little driveshafts. I guess supposed to be light weight? (so thin looking!) And when you're all done, there's a wierd satisfaction of working that diff in your hands and feeling the resistance of the oil! lol
