I've had chocolate tres leches, strawberry tres leches, dulce de leche tres leches, hell even a cuatro leches! But a good piece of OG tres leches is my fav - simply wonderful.

I am from Turkey, and we love Tres Leches too here! We call it trileçe, it is especially adored among the immigrant population from Balkan countries. We usually use jams and other fruity sauces to complement the milky nature of the cake. It is absolute delicious, kudos to hermanos Latínos.

Tres leches is one of greatest gifts my home country has ever given the world, and I say this as someone who’s lactose intolerant and would still eat the whole cake if left unattended.

Here in Brazil, in the 90s, we used to have a similar version, but with coconut milk also. For a while it was a trend in birthday parties and, believe it or not, as it is supposed to be served cold, it used to come already is square pieces wrapped in aluminum foil 😅 Not very pretty, but delicious. I miss it. Nowadays it's about Nutella...

My dear friend from college made Tres Leches for me when she invited me to her house for Christmas. It was absolutely wonderful. My friend is Puerto Rican. We lived in South Florida, & even though Flan is huge among Cubans, they also make Tres Leches.

If you like that, I recommend trying flan. It’s absolutely heavenly. As a local hispanic I have it for my birthday every year now, and on random Sundays when my dad brings me some from the Hispanic deli’s.

Yes Im American living in Chicago and this is my favorite cake. Its so easy to find it here. Every single grocery store here carries it. Its so delicious. 🍰

If you liked Tres Leches also try it's Turkish variant "Trileçe". It uses more globally available ingredients and is overall easier to make. Also you can choose between caramel or mixed fruit flavoring! (Heavily recommend caramel tho)

Im spanish and i knew this pie when i lived for two years in Costa Rica. Its still my favourite dessert in the whole world, even though im lactose ultra intolerant (but i dont care, its sooo foamy, rich, tasty and soul warming...).

I’d personally recommend Lebanese mhalabieh, mighli and mfatqa, but there are likely several different recipes out there (as with most dishes) that might set the bar at the wrong standard if it’s your first time trying them.
