ICJ orders Israel to halt its assault on Rafah

Francis Boyle, an international human rights lawyer who won two requests at the ICJ under the Genocide Convention of 1948 for provisional protection on behalf of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Yugoslavia says ICJ's court order is late but necessary.

If Israel does not comply with the ICJ ruling then the General Assembly should expel them from the UN and that goes for their cronies as well, meaning any state that supplies weapons to them.
If you want to be part of the UN you must abide by their rules.

Professor Boyle's analysis is excellent and thorough. The UN General Assembly will take greater action against Israel similar to sanctions against Apartheid South Africa even if the USA vetoes action in the UN Security Council.

The world is desperately hoping that a ceasefire will come about as a result of the ICJ order (a 1st step towards peace and security for all). International Rules and Law will automatically be complied with by morally sound and democratic states....but those who defy and distort International Rules and Law only contribute to world chaos and lawlessness.

I remember when, in Octber 1956, Israel, France and UK invaded Egypt's Sinai and Suez Canal, out of nowhere, it was thanks to Canada's Lester B Pearson who introduced a multinational military intervention to cease-fire that it worked. UK and France withdrew within weeks. Israel was tenacious but was forced to withdraw in May of 1957. Pearson won the Nobel praiseworthy having averted a post WW2 catastrophe.

I wonder whether Broadhurst knows the bias of U.N./UNWRA (it's offshoot), over decades toward Israel ?And whether Israel cares ' a fig', to be even within 'touching distance', of a cohort of HAMAS ?
