This isn't the only way to do it.
It's probably not the best way to do it.

But it's how I do it.

I do have that UV glue. What's special with it is its extreme hardness. I coated the tops of my keyboard keys. No more wearing out the printed letters! No sign of wear months later.

They used to sell those USB lights at Dollar Tree.

The MOSFETs on the battery protection board are STB30NE06L. They are rated 30A at 60V and have an Rds of 0.35 ohms.

I've just received ten 18650 high discharge batteries and hopefully I'll be doing 2 similar conversions, soon-ish. The key is to use high discharge cells and a capable BMS. Maybe you can get away with old laptop cells if you add a few in parallel also. Please note that while some argue that the balancing part is not necessary, for longevity, I opted for a balanced BMS with a peak 30A discharge. For what I've seen 15A is not enough for this application, as the current peaks well over 20A under high stress/torque. Also, you need to sort the charging part...

Chuckled at the condition of your delicate flush cutters. I have a collection of ruined ones, and covet those that still cut well at the tip. I should learn to never use use the good ones to chomp off steel, square header pins!
Recently received some NT ZJ-18 Soldering Paste that you incidentally displayed ... and to my horror found it was PH neutral. Not flux at all, just paste. Well, still useful for some things -- it does not burn or evaporate, and it is easy to clean. I have some other plain resin that is rock-hard when cool.
Have also received some smelly, leaky UV resin in the mail this year. Did not order it, thankfully. What a mess ... eventually threw it out. That container does not mail well.
Need some of your trimmer-adjusting drivers. A metal head really does drive delicate readings wacky.

I use that UV solder mask stuff too, very handy to attaching wire jumpers for PCB repairs etc.

Should try to use only the newer CMOS version 555's as they do not current spike the supply and cover much wider freq range and loading on RC networks. Very much improved over bipolar type

Thanks for another interesting video! Do the battery pack replacement and please do a video of it plus any charger mods you have to do, it would be a great video as there are tons of old nicad tools out there waiting to be repaired.

I bought all that stuff for my old cordless drill at the start of the year, but still haven't put it together yet. lol
My old drill pak is big enough for 18650 battery holders, so mine is going to be replaceable.
My charger broad is bigger than yours but it said not to use it for drills, so who knows.

Had the same problem with the UV glue. Bought three packs and not one was intact on delivery
