Review of Danilo Wimmer's album Omnia Aurealis

If you think about the album OMNIA AUREALIS while listening to it in order to form an opinion, you may find yourself forgetting what you wanted to think about. OMNIA AUREALIS gently but promptly takes the listener into a program-laden world in which one was still at home as an inexperienced being - everything that an imaginative being feels, sees and thinks has a presence, a tangible form, a scent, an existence. Everything that is difficult or impossible to fathom is clearly evident and present here. A journey through soundscapes, sound verses, flowing scales - soothing, inspiring, enriching. The description of the album concept is therefore apt - it is about a guided journey by a certain Johnny Whitebridge, on which we are allowed to come along. He leads us through various stations, cities and rooms and tries to enlighten us - if not spiritually then musically, by giving us a different feeling for the perception of sounds, tone and music. This music is sensitive and affects our sensitive nature - it gets under our skin and leaves us with a long-awaited message that we are right in our sensitive conclusions, which we easily deny and lose value from. We feel that this music is our property, without being able to produce a title deed, but we know very well that - yes, that is what I carry within me. To put it another way, you could say that this music is missing a film on the screen - everything else has already been said.
