Hi Carol thank you for this video, i have learned a lot, okay when i got approved on Preply i was sitting on $8 and 73% profile score so i lowered my price to $3 and changed my descriptions and everywhere i could. Now i have a profile score of 91% and 505 reviews but still no bookings. Any more advices please ??

italki is still closed I also wanted to work for them because everyone on YouTube was talking about it I also applied on cambly still noting I emailed them and they said there were too many of us and I just got accepted by preply a week ago still no students but I will be making a few changes there.

Preply is super dry rn got approved December but no students

I don’t want to discourage anyone, but 10k a month teaching English online is impossible especially if you just starting out. Preply rn is super dry on students and getting students isn’t as easy as it used to be there’s too many teachers now even if you charge low prices there’s others just like you and you’d get a booking after a very long time. Preply is the only platform that super easy to get into, platforms like Cambly you won’t get a response, maybe after 2 years or never… so all I’ll say is that you could have the best intro video and everything but things are extra hard now and those things don’t matter, luck is what will get you students and 10k isn’t realistic if you new, it might take years and a lot of consistency for you to get to that point.
