Who else out there, like me, is overwhelmed with emotion from this movie? Who else has looked at themselves and feared that they too have been ineffective, or insignificant? I'm seriously asking to hear back from those who worry about the outcome of their past decisions, and how just about everything around you looks hopeless. I'm 45, but just a blink of an eye ago, I was 30, coming off of a divorce, and taking steps in a new directions to turn my life around towards better things. I had such high hopes for my journey of starting over, but now have seen so much of Warren Schmidt in myself. So, where are the other Warrens out there?

은퇴자로서 아이둘을 결혼시킨 아빠로서 동서양을 막론하고 공감이 가는 아주 질만든 영화입니다

Poor Schmidt is always being undone by communication problems. Every time he opens his heart, there is an answering machine in the way or Ndugu can't actually read yet. But even if he is only talking to himself, it's a very different conversation than what he's had before. And it gets him there by the end.

Nice Peterbilt truck in the end when he’s in the phone booth. Overall love the capture of my neck of the woods. Movie portrayed it really well

The moment his soul searching speech was interrupted by the operator reminded me that this was an Alex Payne movie!

I enjoy movies that show the American landscape, and this one qualifies.

Steps go down, steps go up.

Actually, I love those steps. It's the tiniest detail that can be sublime, and here those steps remind you Schmidt is getting pretty old, and doesn't even have the vitality to step down from his vehicle without the assistance of an optional extra some salesman probably patronised him about. Oh, and it's raining.

Una de las cosas mejores de este film (que es excelente) es la música de Eric Satie.
