This Islamic scholar has a very damaged view of law and morality. An action is wrong or unlawful when it occurs. You don’t need the consequences of the action to determine its morality.

Using his logic, it is perfectly fine to drive a car drunk, but it becomes unlawful if you hurt someone and cause excessive pain and suffering.

Hamas’ attack was unlawful when it occurred. Not over a year later.

Also Hamas holding hostages for over a year is also problematic because you know IDF will not stop trying to get them maybe Hamas giving them back would help? Food for thought? Israel will want those people back, it seems. I mean, if someone stole your family, what would YOU do to get them back?
