Lifting My Sinking Concrete Driveway | Polyjacking

Our driveway has been sinking for years and today is finally the day we get it resolved. Engineers have deemed the foundation is good so we are going to use polyjacking to raise our driveway to be more level and prevent this issue from happening in the future. For sure the expandable foam will lift some serious concrete walkway sections in my case. I just did one 8 x 3 foot walkway section. Drilled down two places underneath and shot a couple of cans in both areas. Bam! the section rose to the occasion roughly two inches. I filled in with gravel and dirt underneath. One and done.

I am no expert and simply speculating. I noticed that both places where the driveway crackes is where your end spounts tend to be located. One went underneath and the other was on top of it. It might help getting that water further away from the concrete

I was thinking of doing this as its the cheapest fix but I'm worried that water will get trapped in the gaps under the concrete once it gets lifted.

I can't believe they did not use a jack first to bring the slab to the correct height before injecting foam. This is not how it is done.

Expanded foam compresses especially with the weight of cars going over it. More of a temporary bodge than a permanent repair.
