The cheat code to a reliable n54 powerhouse in 2024:

MaxxEcu (or if you REALLY want to retain the stock ecu/dme: Nexsys DI delete), di delete, single bank o2 (no more o2's in the manifold), B58 coil conversion, Ken at Wedge performance for tuning

Remove the port injection plate and replace with a top feed port injection manifold

Throw JB4, AIC & PR coils in the bin

So much love for your 335, it's the reason I got my manual, alpine white '09 335i almost 5 years ago! Can't wait to see this thing back ripping harder than ever 😍😍

1. Take the JB4 off
2. Get a MHD super license and re tune the car
3. Take out the ACI port controller and replace it with MOTIVE REFLEX +
4. Get a 335is front bumper

@13:18 Little pro tip, it’s way easier to turn the handle if it’s at about a 45 degree angle. There’s a joint between the handle and the valve, and if the handle is straight up, the joint is not straight, and so looses a ton of leverage trying to rotate.

I actually just got my 335i out of retirement this summer after 7 years. I still hold the stock long block record at 861whp but now am fully built with a MaxxECU and DI delete. Crazy how much better it cooperates and drives. I ditched it 7 years ago because of the same reason because of the tuning side. I was a test mule for a lot of what the MHD is now and I just got tired of it and tucked it away in my shop. Stephen Green with Greens Motorsports was the one that got me set up with the MaxxECU and DI delete and made the engine harness. He wants to help you if you’re down.
