I am pretty sure this song means that you want to go numb but we shouldn't do this because we would be blocking out not only the sad, angry, depressing thoughts, but also the the happy emotions and the other good emotions. Correct me if I am wrong but, that is what i think the song's meaning is.

I saw them live for the first time ever on May 14th at the Sands, and it was the first time I ever heard them... incredible stage presence! One thing I realized walking away from their show is how groovy and catchy their music is... love love love this band.... incredible show can't wait to see yinz again!
