One person's thug is another person's garden delight. I have lots of .. ahem... enthusiastic plants, and I simply pull the ones I don't want. Some people just clutch their pearls at anything that is exuberant and bountiful in the garden. I love morning glories and appreciate plants you don't have to coddle and fuss over.

I finally transplanted mine into the grown to fill in a fence in between my neighbors and I for more privacy, along with just throwing seeds in that area and letting nature do its thang. Fingers crossed they adjust fine.

Thank you for explaining the difference in bindweed and morning glories!

I absolutely love morning glories. The heavenly blue ones are a favorite. Have you ever tried growing them in hanging baskets? They trail down making a wonderful display. You should try.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much. I grew them once and was delighted with how quickly and beautifully they grew but then I heard that they will take over your garden and shouldn't be planted there. I have my seeds and can't wait to see the beautiful blooms!

You reminded me and I literally walked into the next room to start some heavenly blue. I have always loved huge white moonflowers and have them started on my black garden arch. The heavenly blue reminds me of the blue eyes my mother gave me. 💙

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I didn't realize that Bindweed was different than Morning Glories! I've been so conflicted because I LOVE MG! This makes me feel so much better.

I grew them for the first time last year!.. I grew them up a old dress metal form, …. blue and pink so that it could be like sleeping beauty’s dress, the morning glory filled the form and make it look like a ball gown, … it was so much fun! I am trying to grow the same again, …

I love morning glories too. This year, along the fence where they were planted last year - 100's of seedlings have come up. I have pulled and hula-hoed out SO many, but they just keep coming up. I find them all over the landscaped areas of our 3 acres. I think the birds plant them...along with sunflower seeds! I have probably 50 volunteers this year!

Yaaaay! This video was perfect timing because I was just trying to find a fast growing vine to cover up my concrete fence! I’m going to give it a try!

Also, how on earth are you putting out so many videos and you still have another job?! You are working so hard!!! It’s not going unnoticed 😉

Thank you. This was so informative. I always wondered why Laura on Garden Answer hated her bindweed so much. I though they were morning glories and she just called them something different. Really learned a lot in this segment. PS…love your garden. :)

I just purchased a white flowered morning glory and my goodness I did not know the flower gets that huge. It’s beautiful and I hope it replants itself next year. It’s in my moon garden. Thanks for the information

I am growing morning glories for the second year in Florida. Last year it was not enough sun in the spot I chose, but this year, so far, they are growing quickly up one of my fences.

They are very invasive in Illinois. I lost the war on morning glories. just accepted that they will just be there on the dog pen. 100 square feet of morning glories. It's quite beautiful 💙

I love morning glories! Last year I planted the blue ones together with my cucumbers, and clematis. The the blue flowers shined through those little yellow cucumber flowers. So beautiful! My clematis love this combination. I think it got enough shade from the other two.
