China records trade surplus of $45 billion in July

China recorded a trade surplus of $45 billion in July, pushing past analysts' forecast of $40 billion. China's trade surplus with America stood at about $28 billion in July, and only $50 billion worth of American imports remain without tariffs on the Chinese side.

China's exports are up 3.3%. Decreased exports to the US is more than made up by increased exports to the rest of the world. This proves how impotent the US is in this trade war! The US only has 320 million people against 7.6 billion in the rest of the world. China has the rest of the world to sell to and by from. The trade war has barely even made a dent to China. Economic growth is at 6.2%. Meanwhile, US economic growth is 2.1%, and even that requires its government running a stimulus equal to a budget deficit of $1 trillion per year to accomplish. These are supposed to be "good times" for the US, ROFL!

In other news, the US trade deficit with China has decreased by about $20 Billion in the first 6 months of 2019, compared to the same period last year. (source below)
This is primarily a result of a decrease in US imports from China by about $30 Billion. This is proof Trump's tariffs are working.
Regarding the topic at hand....if we believe any numbers China provides, I say good for them keeping an overall trade surplus.
But it could have been much larger. By tens of $Billions. They're losing the trade dispute and it's clear Trump and the US has all the leverage.
If China is smart, they'll make a deal sooner than later. Both countries would benefit.
