Pete Davidson apologizes to newly elected Rep. Crenshaw

SNL comedian Pete Davidson brings newly-elected Congressman Lt. Commander Dan Crenshaw during the Weekend Update and apologizes. Crenshaw also has a little fun, making fun of Davidson.

Kudos to not just Dan but also Pete for admitting his mistake. As we all know that the man's engagement has just been called off so he's not going through the best of his time. There are a lot of comedians who try to use humor to get away from depression and at times misses the mark. Glad this issue has been resolved in just a week

The only person I've seen recognize Pete's father on any platform, is Pete; and his face as Crenshaw acknowledges his service speaks volumes. I'm Aussie, don't know much about American politics, but this man seems like a gosh darn good egg

You can tell Pete was fighting off tears. His Dad was a true hero. A selfless human being who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service of others. Pete along with his fellow New Yorkers carry the weight of 9/11 with them every day. And the fact that Dan Crenshaw was able to settle this with Comedy and they were able to shake hands to show respect for each other goes to show that he is a real class act. And that goes for Pete as well. He made a stupid joke that was hurtful and he went on TV to admit his mistake to the nation and offer an apology to Rep. Crenshaw. And to even the score with Comedy. We can all take a lesson from this.🇺🇲

Thank you to Congressman Crenshaw for his part in the jokes Pete Davidson delivered after this episode. It's very difficult to know what we're missing out on when we lost the ability to be civil to one another and just cancel things we dislike.
