Parker 97R Razor, Proraso, Vintage - Shulton Old Spice, WSG Blade & Simpson Chubby 2

Im trying out a Parker 97R Razor for the first time in today’s shave. Also bringing out some Vintage Old Spice aftershave from Shulton.

Hey Ken! I just did a guess shave for Tony Martin's channel themediamart! I used a 1946-47 Gillette Aristocrat with vintage Old Spice soap and aftershave!! In my humble opinion, nothing beats the original!! The soap still lathers beautifully, and the aftershave still has its great scent. I am fortunate enough to have several bottles of the aftershave. Most are unused!! It just seems the products from yesteryear were produced with quality and care! Thanks for reviewing that Parker! They have some great razors at good pricing! I was just gifted the Parker Injector Adjustable. You have to try that one! I believe it was inspired by the vintage Pal Injector Adjustable. Appearance is similar. Thanks again for the video, and I am happy that you are recovering nicely!! JimG

I haven’t tried the 97R but the Shulton Old Spice I know really well. I’m fortunate to have some to use for years to come.

Great shave. This razor being very efficient and smooth yet very affordable proves that you don’t always need a fancy premium priced razor to get a good, very efficient and smooth shave. I’m always looking for very efficient shaves, and that Parker 97R razor could be for me. Have a good one!

I just cant get over the misalignment, its all i'd see or think about when I would use it. It looks nice but I just wouldnt use it. I just recently purchased 2 razors on one of the buy sell trade groups on Facebook and I got the Fine Accoutrements DE5 and the yaqui adjustable with the gunmetal finish for $40 shipped

I don't know if you remember the de5 but it's like a mild version of the Muhle R-41 same style teeth and everything

Excellent shave Ken. The Parker blades are pretty good. They are a solid middle of the road blade. They kindly remind me of the Gillette Silver Blue blades. I would love to see a "candy cane" inspired brush handle.
