Too some extent I can relate to Janelle. During my last relationship, 11 yrs total. My ex just kept living with his singular attitude. He’d leave for work each morning and return whenever he felt like it. Ironically I realized that I didn’t mind that. In fact I preferred it. Bc while he was gone the only person I needed to concern myself with was myself! I was contented with being able too live each day as I pleased. My own happiness and enjoyment were all I needed to focus on.
No disruptions interferences or scobbles. I could watch my movie choices or listen to my choice of music and sing out loud with the lyrics and have my own dance party, ( my form of exercise). Or jump in my car and go wherever. Perhaps an unusual type of relationship but it worked and that’s all that mattered. Neither of us cheated either. The whole plural marriage thing goes against my personal beliefs overall. Imo plural marriage is nothing more than allowing the man to cheat openly. Like Kody said too his guy friends. He used plural marriage as a means of changing wives when he got bored of his other wives. Yep I’m bored of these women. It’s time to add a new shiny wife, in Kody’s philosophy. 🤦‍♀️ Sadly everyone else, wives and children are who suffer from that.
Ya don’t need plural marriage to live an independent freer life.

I wonder how Christine and her mom’s relationship is. I remember Christine being kind of tough towards her mother and not very understanding of her decision to leave plural marriage. Maybe that was Christine’s way of not confronting what she knew deep down, that she didn’t want to be in a plural marriage either.

Janelle is very independent and seems pretty content in her own company so she probably doesn't mind having a lot of time on her own while being in a relationship.

I am so glsd they are no longer mourning the past relationship. That said, I think it really is that Janelle doesn't want to compromise with a partner and still wants the freedom of being single (not that she wants to date multiple men, but she doesn't want the responsibility of being one man's everything). After divorce, going back into a relationship can be difficult; it's just that most of us don't think of polygamy as a way of having our cake & eating it, too. 😂
