NPM vs Yarn | Which is the best Package Manager?

Yeah, that's true. I switched to yarn because whenever I tried to install something using npm, it's always showed some errors. This problem really makes me sick.

A lot of this just sounds like marketing. I don't know much about security so when you say it has enhanced security (most devs don't have an InfoSec background) it would be nice if you ran through an example in detail. Is the vulnerability in the package itself or is it in the package manager? I can just read this off of the Yarn site if I just wanted the bullet points.

Like as far as I know, NPM also has a lock file and also can install from a local cache. Unless I'm misunderstanding the difference between these two. And if that's the case, a more detailed explanation would be very helpful.

I'd say yarn is less popular simply because it doesn't ship with node natively. If node shipped without a default package manager and people were forced to decide, yarn would probably take the crown

Ryan Dahl was creator of Node. He regrets allowing NPM becoming the sole package interface for Node and in Deno they don’t have a package manager at all. But he didn’t create NPM.

I tried 'npx create-react-app myapp' but it returned 'bad network settings' error. I had struggled for 2days to solve this error and finally "yarn create react-app myapp" saved my day!!
