Damning report says some Met Police officers have been getting away with breaking the law | 5 News

► Hundreds of Metropolitan Police officers have been getting away with breaking the law. That's the verdict of a damning report into the capital's force. It also found many claims of misconduct were badly mishandled.

One police officer avoided dismissal despite facing 11 separate allegations of wrongdoing. In response, the new Met Police Commissioner, Sir Mark Rowley, has said hundreds of serving officers should be booted out.

What counts a serious breaches. For instance and I know fictitious, but I would look at Catherine's character in happy valley as someone who continuously breaks rules/protocols because there's not enough support from those above. I expect there are thousands of clean straight coppers breaking rules or cutting corners every day to make sure we're safe. How do you differentiate?
