Very attractive design on the bowl. I first noticed the beauty and hardness of olive wood as a young teen in Spain. It was in the dash of a 1950's Mercedes convertible sports car. I don't have normal access to it here in the USA but it is a special and beautiful wood. Definitely in my top 10. Fortunately there are some other species nearby that are also special. My favorite is walnut which is plentiful here. The burls can be iridescent and amazing. An added bonus is that the sawdust looks like chocolate milk powder drink mix. (I should collect some and give it to my brother to see him try to use it.)

A fun collaboration between two great turners makes for a very enjoyable video! Kostas, you were able to be creative with the video angles and lighting, made for a fun video to watch! And, a great piece to finish up with. That Olive wood is just amazing!

Kostas is the host of the year for doing the sanding. The utmost in hospitality, for sure. A beautiful bowl, I'd love to find some real olive wood, so gorgeous. Stewart, if you can get Kostas in your shop I'd love to see you color some beech to simulate olive. Glad you two had a fun evening.
