At 1.14 Paul Burell repeats the story from his book A Royal Duty in which he wrote "I saw Diana on the morning of the wedding to Charles with her train bundled under one arm and her slippers in the other hand running down Principal Corridor at Buckingham Palace.(The Center Room with the famous balcony is accessed via the grand looking Principal Corridor).
However, Diana spent the night before the wedding at Clarence House, the Queen Mothers home from where she left in the Glass Coach to St Paul's Cathedral.

When there are no true feelings you can't force it. King Charles is so happy with Camilla, after so many years we should accept it. It is important to have a King who is happy! Diana was so innocent and different, wanted to enjoy life, wheras Charles loved reading and gardening. Also the age difference might have been difficult for them to cope with.

It takes my breath away to sit and think of the pressure she was or she made it look easy from the very beginning. And outshone everyone while doing so!

Ultimately Charles had no respect for Diana, who knows why, maybe because she was so much younger and inexperienced, that seemed to be a gripe for him that was likely rooted in jealousy and narcissism. He had a lustful spontaneous relationship with Camilla and they were clearly a better match chemistry wise, but he didn’t for a moment consider Diana’s well-being and humanity, nobody did. All his life he didn’t really have to consider anyone else but himself so it’s no wonder why.

A modern young woman? She was only 19yo and very aristocratic. She lived in an apartment her daddy bought her and she shared with handpicked roommates. She wore the family’s diamond tiara for her wedding for heaven’s sake. She was very pretty, undereducated (by choice) and naive. It was an arranged marriage obvious to everyone but Diana. And showing the Bashir interview after it was proven that Bashir lied and manipulated Diana into appearing in it is low.

I'm always surprised when people claim that Charles revealed something new in his 1994 interview. He hadn't. The tapes with the explicit conversation with Camilla had already been released a few years earlier. The whole world knew that he and Camilla were back together. There were also similar recordings of Diana and her boyfriend James Gilby, where, interestingly, a key sentence, namely that she feared she was pregnant, was not initially released. Only later did come out that Diana had numerous lovers. So it was ridiculous to talk about a „revenge dress“ and I don’t believe Paul that Diana felt humiliated by this interview. Their marriage was definitely over around 1985, from then on BOTH behaved as if they were unmarried. And with her Morton book Diana had revealed far more than Charles ever did.
