Dr Rachelle Pitt is the Director of Research and Innovation for West Moreton Health in Queensland. Working clinically as a speech pathologist in rural areas led her to undertake her PhD research on the use of tele-practice to improve access to services for people with aphasia following stroke. This research led to the development of an online aphasia group intervention - TeleGAIN. Rachelle also has a particular interest in parenting after a stroke and the impact aphasia has on families who have young children, transition planning and self-management approaches.
