Replicating the look of over 1,000 players has its challenges, and the Graphics and Character Team added some improvements to our skin and eye shaders to take advantage of updates to our updated lighting system that will appear in MLB The Show 24. Getting the specular highlights off the skin and eyes can really nail the look, it can be a subtle effect, but once it is right it can really be the change that takes a scene to the next level and the team really likes the results which are best seen on the player edit screen - MLB The Show 24

Still doesn't look like current gen or PS5 quality, especially compared to other sports games. But the graphics have been bad for so long that these small changes are a highlight.

Now they look like nba 2k 21 graphics. It’s an improvement at least.

unfortunately but they gotta drop old gen and make something entirely new. most other sports games are entirely different from old gen to new gen but mlb has no difference besides fps

Ea did the same thing....new visual stuff....but what happens when all cards are in packs....and gameplay has been the same for yrs.
