I find it very annoying that so many commenters on YouTube don't seem to be able to properly spell these words in the comments sections. School teachers are not being as effective as they should be. It can't just be the students fault because it is not that hard. The teachers just aren't teaching.

Khan's grammar videos are really great, and something I frequently share with my university students. However, I don't understand why David classifies 'their' as a possessive adjective. Some grammars confusingly call it a possessive pronoun, which is understandable and was common 20-25 years ago, but surely there's nothing adjectival about it. The common analysis in most modern grammars would be a determiner, determining the head noun.

One question. In the sentence "There's my dog". Isn't 'There' modifying 'is' and thus being an adverb?
