Easy Way To Glue Up Miters

This is a cool technique that I learned while a student at North Bennet Street School. With this technique you'll get a miter with very little run out in the grain. It'll look like the wood grain is wrapping around the miter. Its is the best way i've found to clamp up miters. Hope you can use this in your work.

Thanks!

To keep up with my work throughout the week check out the links below. Thanks for watching! Love Tōth

Also if you want to know why I love what I do check out my artist profile video done by Vigil Films. Its part of there Ardent Collection....

That's a great way to ensure you don't have any gaps in the seams. Thank you for sharing this Kyle!

What kind of ketchup do you use for glue?

Interesting technique. Seems to make clamping way way easier. I'll for sure have to try it. Well done bud!

Use a couple drops 2P-10 glue on the blocks? instant dry. It's brittle so a sharp whack removes it.

I think the more machines you have the more complicated you make things. Put some paper in the inside corner to prevent the block sticking to the work. Clamp a square block in the corner. Glue dry, remove block, pull off paper, job done.

Very interesting approach to this. The only thing I would improve is just clamp those pieces instead of gluing them to also make them reusable. Thank you

This is brilliant! Can you provide more details on the auxiliary fence you used and how that is correctly set? Thanks Kyle!

Or just use a Lock-Miter bit and no need for biscuits or dominos or glued on calls.
