The reason why dandy says “…” when you buy Astro is likely one of these:
Before any other toon, according to lore, dandy and Astro were the first ever toons. So they are really good friends and dandy is surprised you got him, or smth like that. He maybe got reminded of old times and couldn’t say anything. But this is 50/50 and only a guess.

One of the requirements for Astro is “encounter twisted dandy” when you buy him, dandy KNOWS you know his secret. The secret is pretty obvious. Also this could be a reason why dandy runs exist. For a main character, also Astro being the most expensive toon. Same if you only count main toons. Also dandy and Astro are good friends so that make’s sense they are as mentioned the first toons to ever exist in garden view. It would be dandy’s mastery if dandy wasn’t a admin only toon. This is also a 50/50 chance so, yeah.
Edit: forgot to mention, that I’m not saying first created in the game as a WHOLE. I’m talking about how Dandy and Astro were existing before any other toon. After a year or so, the other toons came around.

Nenaa every single main always has 2 ability’s, Sprout can heal people using 100 tapes, and can see what everyone’s hp is at, pebble can use his bark ability to drop is stealth and he can sniff out items high lighting them, Vee can high light all the twisteds and she can see where the closest machine is, Astro can see if anyone’s at -50% stamina, regenerate stamina faster, and also can regenerate stamina for other toons, Shelly can boost a toon to make their extraction speed faster for a certain amount of time, and she goes faster when a machine is completed for a certain amount of time. Heyy Nenaa!! I have a little tip whenever you play with Astro!!

So let's say there's a distractor on your team, and they're distracting near the fake elevator, a little tip I have is to stand near a window and have them on the other side come near you the opposite side of the window. Then, use Astro's ability to regain the distractor's staminimina to 100%. This trick can only be done in certain maps whenever they distract near the fake elevator with a window to see them from the other side!!
