My mom used to cut the top half inch of an angel food cake, then hollow it out. Shes mix the cake scraps with cool whip and sliced strawberries and spoon it back into the cake, then put the top back on. Then she would frost it with cool whip...Mmmmm....it was a favorite at picnics!

Try spooning small amounts of pie filling in a grid shape then going back around until you get the surface mostly covered. Works better than trying to spread soft foods over soft surfaces ❤

I cooked the first crescent rolls, and then I put the fruit on the top crescent rolls as fast as I could to get a crusty bottom, not a gummy bottom layer. Plus, I add vanilla bean paste and cinnamon and sugar everywhere.
