If only mbl tech into battle elephants instead, he would have stand a chance. Obuch's armor tearing can't do enough to a battle elephant's fatass hp, and knights and light cavs can't do enough despite having the poles unique techs.

I generally demand that elephant archers must have +1 (+2 elite) range due to the 7-foot elephation of the archer...

But sometimes I also think the Elephant archer, the ONLY archer that costs food, must have +1 bonus damage against cavalry. HECK EVEN Genoese crossbows get +5 against cavalry without costing food.

Elephant archers die to Halbs, Monks, Skirms, Camels, Scorpions and Knights!
