Laudable Pursuit - Sen Lee questions defense leaders on cybersecurity and encryption matters

Today in the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senator Lee questioned the Director of the National Security Agency and Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence on how their organizations are taking steps to protect the constitutional rights of Americans while addressing national security threats that use encryption technology. Agencies like the NSA have an important role to play in protecting our nation against new threats in the 21st Century, but if they are not held accountable for respecting the civil liberties of the American people could be doing more damage than good.
