Best one yet. It’s taken me 55 years to figure this out. And it’s so true. We don’t change until we can’t handle the pain anymore. And many never do it. They would rather play victim.

Thank You for this. This is exactly what I needed to hear today.

I'm reinventing myself right now. 39 years old first semester college student. Focusing more on myself, rather than pleasing others. I'm absolutely enjoying the Grit and Grind. It's hard, terrifying, intimidating, frustrating, but very rewarding. I'm going to have what I want one day. And that's rewarding just knowing I'm on my way to that place.

I reinvented myself after 7 years in the Marines, and now I’m doing it again after 11 years as an automotive technician, and I have about 7 years or so of school to reach my goal of becoming a nuclear physicist. It’s going to be a long reinvention this time around, but I think it’s well worth the work.

I will be 70 on my next birthday and am in an intense period of growth and change. It has been very difficult and yet exciting. I am sometimes sad that I am learning a new perspective on life at such a late date in my life, but I am looking forward to where I'm headed. This is not my first adventure with personal growth. I find my periods of personal growth are the most fulfilling periods in my life. The difficulty with these periods is the initial period of agony that us the instigation

Rich started at 31! Great time to start. I didn't start until I was 66 and many choices were not available any longer, and after I had caused a lot of damage to my children. I was never an alcoholic but there are conditions just as bad and much harder to spot.

I am that guy that started late, my way in life, finding what I was meant to do. From joining the US Navy at 31 years of age. Went back to school to receive my degree. Started at running races in my mid to late 30s. Starting a podcast, social media stuff at my mid 40s, just released my first book this year, late 40s and being a HOKA ambassador for my city this year. Much gratitude

Man, Rich absolutely killed it in those last few minutes of the podcast. Such important words, so eloquently said! Those transformational moments are functions of the heart, not the intellect.

This guy is SO articulate. I don’t comment very often but my jaw dropped at the chosen words he used. I can never seem to find the right words to explain this process, but he speaks so beautifully and raw about the truth in leveling up one’s life. As someone in recovery, he absolutely nails it! Thank you. ❤

RR is such a beautiful example of an evolved masculine man who’s not afraid to meet his emotional side with depth. I always enjoy listening to him and his wife is also a spiritual powerhouse. Those two together are magic! Thank you for having him on, great convo!

I absolutely adore Rich Roll. His articulation of his perspective is poetic and precise. While I cherish his podcast dearly, it is quite the treat when he is the one being interviewed.

I’m 31 and 4 months sober and wake up questioning who I am and and how to bring my best self to the world every day. Im extremely educated and stuck in my head a lot and feel trapped at my upper echelon Scientist job. This episode HIT. Thanks so much to both of you for the mind and heart fuel. Will be listening to more Rich for sure!

This is what I needed to hear tonight. I went 10 years without alcohol then i went back to it for a year but just quit a couple of weeks ago. Had it not been for prayers I dont know where i'd be.
I spoke to a counselor last week and she noticed how i stayed sober for a decade thanks to jogging almost daily and then suddenly i had to drink in order to go jogging because of fear. I had gotten stabbed at a jogging trail and not only that but when the cops got there i was beaten too. I live in a small city in texas so it wasn't easy to think I had to protect myself from the bad guys and the "good guys." I totally admire the great guys in law enforcement and just because of a few bad apples I decided to forgive all that and just move on and contiue to give the good cops their props. As William Blake would say: "Forgiveness is my religion."

42 years old, starting over in a new career, making sure I become the human I need to be. In accordance with what I think, what I say and what I do. Great episode!

I’ve followed Rich for many years now. He’s had a profound influence on my life. I collapsed inwards after a battle with the Big C. Now, I’m back, running and rowing. Before and after the battle, I’d always reinvented myself. There were days when I wanted to throw the towel in. I just gave myself a good talking to and luckily came out of the darkness. My lesson learnt was to avoid negative people or comments. It can be very lonely, but I trusted myself that everything will work out.
