Xian City Wall, Ming Dynasty City Wall of Xian

Xi'an City Wall is 13.74 kilometers long (8.5 mile). The City Wall of Xian is the largest and the only complete ancient city wall in China. Xian City Wall exhibits the complete features of the rampart architecture of feudal society. The heritage site is in the tentative list of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.

As I have said a couple of times, a must visit the City Of Xi'an to have a deeper feeling and understanding of Chinese Dynastic history. I walked along the entire inner side of the wall that took me 2 hours. It was exhausting but awesomely inspiring.👍🇲🇾

I watch every documentary on castles and fortifications but this is the first time I've heard of the Xian city walls. This is so impressive on the scale of Constantinople, amazing yet so few have heard in the west.

If you visit you can rent a bicycle on top of the wall and ride all the way around. It’s a great experience!!

Xi'an city wall is so beautiful. Luckily, some of China's great history such as this Xi'an city wall is saved to this day for future generations to learn and be proud of their history and civilization. Beijing City wall and Nanjing city wall are not so lucky to surive. So sad that these pieces (Beijing city wall and Nanjing city wall) of beautiful Chinese history have been destroyed. When idealogy and i g n o r an ce rule, huge damage to history and culture can badly be done forever.

I don’t think you hv ever set foot in China. The city is called Xi An. Not XIAN.
