Straykids -Thunderous Performance at EXPO 2020

They would be so proud to perform in front of the President of Korea.

Those who are still confused as to what happened, Straykids are in Riyadh right now, since they are gonna perform in Riyadh season[btw Chungha is also going to perform there] but the show got cancelled due to bad weather, now they performed at Expo2020 Dubai in front of The President of Korea, The First Lady & Other VIPs.

I still feel sad for Stays who were going to the concert but got cancelled, Hope y'all are safe.

Its called EXPO 2020 cuz this event was supposed to happen in October of 2020 but got postponed due to covid pandemic so they held it in October of 2021 and this event will end on 10 April 2022 (According to google) So they decided to still name it EXPO 2020 [Correct me if i am wrong🙃]

Thunderous / Sorikkun is really the perfect song to represent Korea. From the culture celebrating appeal from the music video to this stage, the traditional instruments used in the song, the witty lyrics, to the modern Hanboks that is basically Stray Kids’ uniform at this point. Not only that, they also wrote, composed, and produced this song themselves. Ever since I saw the mv and heard the song, I’ve always thought that Thunderous is the peak of kpop. Modern music mixed with tradition. Modern enough to show how far music has evolved but also traditional enough to show how it began. A beautiful piece that brought their country to life on that stage in front of their president and Dubai vips. This is kpop. This is Stray Kids. Well done.

I guess Stray Kids were chosen to be part of the opening of Korean Pavilion with the song Thunderous aka Sorikkun
The song is not just a diss track to antis/haters but also paying homage to the art of Pansori (the ancient art of story-telling) and dokkaebi which is a part of the Korean culture.
