Growing Beans from Seed | How to Start Bean Sprouts

First time gardener here, and I've just learned how to start beans from seeds. It's not as scary as I thought it would be, so I'm sharing the process so that you can grow beans, too!

I've been trying to find how long the sprouts need to be before transplanting to soil and your video was the only one I found the answer. Thx

I soak my beans in a solution of water(1bottled water) and 2 sprits of hydrogen peroxide (sprayed into the bottle of water). Then shake it up and pour into a cup. Then soak the seeds within that cup for 24 hours. Its given me a 100% germination rate. I have tried with just water for 24 hours and have gotten a 100% germination rate as well. But those seeds tend to mold during the paper towel and ziplock stage. I havent had a problem with molding when it comes to the seeds that were soaked in the hydrogen peroxide solution. Probably because some of that solution gets onto the paper towel to fight back bacteria. Anyway, good luck. I cant wait to see how well your beans grow!

The problem with direct planting is that insects eat them, almost to death. The paper cup idea is a very good one, which is why I clicked on this video. TY : )

Be sure to water the plants in advance, Before you transplant from a cup or a pot, make sure the compost is moist.👍

I'm doing it without soaking I already planted the Haha
