Can you help me. I have Big Sur running on iMac with 577 available space of 1TB, yet whenever i try to install a programming/ open it say I don’t have enough free disc space to proceed. I’m lost I’ve tried everything I can think of, yet i cant find what space they are saying I don’t have.

It should not be this hard to update a computer. This is silly. We should be able to update our expensive machines.
