Mental health is a big theme with teens. Parents think everything is alright because they laugh and are out with friends. But kids don't tell them about their real mindset. They're often afraid of disappointing the parents or making them sad. Talk to your children, ask them how they really feel. Raise them to trust you in evey situation!

The gaze of this mother, her way of speaking, the way of having pushed her daughter on the podiums and becoming an object makes her a criminal. The daughter committed suicide because of a deep malaise....and I think this abusive mother is the malaise. When we look for the reasons for suicide among young people, we must first understand the influence of parents who live by proxy and are ready to do anything for it.

Pageantry was NOT an issue. Kailia loved every minute of pageants and she was very successful.
BOY DRAMA. Her boyfriend broke up with her right before prom so Kailia attended with a group of friends. The ex went to prom with another girl.
Pageantry, contortion, dance, cheerleading, being a "celebrity", social media - NONE of that had anything to do with Kailia's dispair.

She didn't die in a car accident. She died by suicide... This is incorrect. She was in her car. But not in Vegas. I don't understand the mix up. The photo of her at the beach is the same beach in birch bay Washington where she died.

A lot of you guys are saying “this is what happens when you pressure your kids, expose them to the media/fame etc.” Yes I agree it’s a terrible thing I feel that every child should be able to have a great childhood to fulfill their own happiness. But NONE of us know truly on why she did what she did. Instead of us judging, pray for her and her family. It’s already hard enough on what has happened and to her family. It has been confirmed that she has committed suicide and it’s already heartbreaking enough. Let’s all be kind and just send our condolences to the family 💗
