I love how you said to handle the child wanting to go to public school situation. That’s basically what I had to do with my son, 5. My friends kids are going to public school and I had to explain that we just do some things differently and that this is what I think is best for him.

I agree about the book of Job, I discovered that over this past year. We lost our 7 year old daughter last summer (2020) to brain cancer and I kept thinking about Job over and over again. The experience made me realize that this reallly isn't our home and everything is temporary here. Jobs faith and ability to persevere but also completely break down and question everything but still go on resonated so much during the absolute worst season of my life. It gave me comfort like you said to know that suffering is a part of life to be expected just like everything else, and that I'm not the only one 💖

I also was saying Job to myself before you said that!! I have had the hardest year of my life (disappointments, newly discovered chronic pain and illness, miscarriage, and other issues) and job has been such a comfort for me. "But I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the end he will stand on the dust." Job 19:25...He is so good and faithful!
